Filled with concept art, sketches, and interviews with key cast, crew, and creatives, including executive producer/showrunner/writer Jon Favreau and executive producer/director Dave Filoni, The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will provide readers with an exclusive look at a whole new universe of Star Wars characters, locations, and vehicles. The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian takes fans behind the scenes of the first ever live-action Star Wars television series. The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is available for pre-order and is expected to release on December 1. It's not that the shot looks bad in the series, but it's much more stylized in the artwork. Concept artist Nick Gindraux has posted some of the illustrations he created for The Mandalorian Star Wars live-action television series on Disney+. The other, by Ryan Church has three-X-wings blasting the hangar bay operated by the seedy Ranzar Malk in "Chapter 6: The Prisoner." The latter shot is one of those instances where the art looks much better than the final shot. One, by Christian Alzmann features the Child looking very proud of the frog-like creature that he's just captured near a bonfire. And as ever, the concept art over the credits offers a further look at some of the episode's best moments. And the reward for the patience of fans who watched last episode's glorified escort mission was a great episode focused significantly more on Mandalorian lore and history. It may not have been the most direct pay-off to the Frog Man knowing where to find more of his kind, but the rescue by Bo-Katan and her fellow "new Mandalorians" got to the right point all the same.
The follow-up to the controversial second episode of Disney+'s flagship Star Wars, which featured Baby Yoda's divisive eating habits, was another change of pace, adding more action, some gunslinging battles, and lots of Star Wars animation links.Īfter the ice spiders and X-Wings of "The Passenger" the third episode saw Din Djarin and Baby Yoda following the trail of more Mandalorians once more, with the Frog Lady's husband pointing Mando to the Quarren fishing vessel.
